(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 6 - Prosecutors in the northern city of
Lecco on Monday were investigating a femicide in which an
elderly woman was murdered by her husband and the suspicious
death of a 40-year-old woman whose body found on a lake-side
beach.
In the first case an 86-year-old man strangled to death his wife
and then called his son to tell him what he had done.
The son alerted the police
The corpse of the woman was found early on Monday on the back
seat of a Fiat Panda on a beach in the Rivabella area.
The front wheels of the car were in the water.
At the moment investigators are looking into several possible
hypotheses as to how the woman may have died. (ANSA).
