Draghi's mission to Algiers sees 15 agreements signed

Renewables, public works, corruption fight among areas covered

(see related stories on Draghi) (ANSAmed) - ROME, JULY 18 - A total of 15 agreements, memoranda of understanding, cooperation protocols and statements of intent were signed by the Italian and Algerian governments on Monday at the end of the plenary session of the fourth Italian-Algerian intergovernmental summit in Algiers.
    These agreements regarded sectors ranging from renewable energy to highways, major public works projects, the fight against corruption, with the involved of Italian anti-graph agency ANAC, and the issue of the radicalization of inmates in jail.
    Draghi was welcomed at the presidential palace by Algerian President Abdelmadijd Tebboune and a guard of honor.
    Draghi was accompanied by Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese, Justice Minister Marta Cartabia, Ecological Transition Minister Roberto Cingolani, Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility Minister Enrico Giovannini, and Minister for Equal Opportunities and the Family Elena Bonetti.
