(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 30 - Decisions made at the special
European Council on February 9-10 will be decisive for the next
10 years, European Council President Charles Michel said after
talks with Premier Giotgia Meloni in Rome Monday.
In the context of the war-related energy crisis, the food
security crisis and in the face of the "massive state aid plan
that the US is implementing" on inflation "I say that the
choices we make at the next European Council will be decisive
for the next 10 years", he said.
"The European Union has a trump card, it is a treasure built
with patience: the internal market or rather a shared common
economic strength and we must defend this internal market," said
Michel. (ANSA).
