Estonia: electricity only from renewables sources by 2030

Bill to accelerate 'green' transition

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 26 - The Estonian Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Riina Sikkut, has presented a bill to accelerate the use of renewable energy sources in the production of electricity. According to the legislation, by 2030, all electricity produced in the Baltic country must come from renewable sources. Currently, the target is 40%. If the bill is passed, Estonia's target for renewable energy production will rise from 42 to 65 percent by 2030. (ANSA).
