(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JUN 27 - The EU Council has adopted the final regulation aimed at filling the gas storage capacities in the Union before the winter season and sharing them among the member states in a spirit of solidarity, despite the gas market disruptions. This decision is significant to strengthen the EU's energy supply in the face of the war in Ukraine, the Council underlined in a statement. Member states will have to fill underground gas storage for at least 80% of their capacity before the winter of 2022/2023 and by 90% before the following winter seasons. (ANSA).
