EP gives green light to Croatia's entry into Schengen area
Council has to take the final decision
10 November, 13:14 (ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 10 - The European Parliament has
approved the removal of internal border controls between the
Schengen area and Croatia, with 534 votes in favor, 53 votes
against, and 25 abstentions. On December 9, 2021, the Council
confirmed that Croatia had met all of the requirements for full
application of Schengen rules. MEPs urged the Council to
continue the process and reach a final decision. (ANSA).
